Leaders of the Okpẹ Sons and Daughters Association from Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State have expressed their support for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) senatorial candidate for Kogi East, Idris HK, ahead of the official campaign kick-off scheduled for August 19, 2026.

The association demonstrated its solidarity with the campaign by presenting banners and posters in support of Idris HK and the movement ahead of the commencement of campaign activities.

Receiving the materials, Idris HK described the gesture as a strong demonstration of confidence in his vision for a better and more prosperous Kogi East.

He expressed appreciation to the leaders and members of the association for their support, noting that the show of solidarity would further strengthen the movement and its commitment to the people of Kogi East.

Idris HK prayed for continued unity among his supporters and called for collective efforts toward building a stronger and more prosperous future for the people of the senatorial district.

The SDP candidate also invoked blessings on the Okpẹ Sons and Daughters Association for their unwavering support as the campaign enters a new phase.

Idris HK is contesting the Kogi East Senatorial District seat under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2027 elections, with his campaign movement adopting the slogan, “UJA IMELI 2027.”
